Mezzo-soprano Elisabeth Cornelius-Lund was born in Norway, in a family of musicians. She studied piano and canto at The Conservatory of Oslo and later continued her musical formation at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, specifically on lied-oratorio and opera. Her solo career took the stages of Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway, both in opera repertoire and vocal-symphonic concerts and lied recitals. She performed in distinguished international festivals – Bergen, Mozartwoche Salzburg, Salzburger Festspiele. Her repertoire includes classical as well as romantic works, and also contemporary pieces, many of which had been presented in premiere, in concerts, radio and CD recordings.

Elisabeth Cornelius-Lund founded Salzburg Vokal Akademie, which she leads in order to guide young musicians on the difficult road of performing and establishing themselves as professional artists.

Salzburg Vokal Akademie offers every year two scholarships for canto classes, in the context of the Mozarteum Summer Academy (Internationale Sommerakademie Universität Mozarteum Salzburg).
